Ah, the most wonderful (and tasty) weekend of the year returns to Nashvegas once more. We’re talking about the Music City Food & Wine Festival, of course! Epicureans, acclaimed national and regional chefs, wine + spirits experts, locals and tourists alike will converge on Bicentennial Park for the Festival, taking place September 17 and 18.
The Nashville Originals are participating in the Festival for the second year, and we’ll be showcasing FOUR Nashville Originals member restaurants as part of the Grand Taste from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Guests will be treated to a diverse range of signature bites prepared by the best of the city’s culinary community, alongside more than 60 international and national wineries, spirits purveyors, breweries, restaurants and other artisanal exhibitors.
We’re excited to announce that new member blvd (keep an eye out for a New Member Spotlight soon!) will represent the Originals on Saturday from 11 am to 1:30 p.m., followed by The Yellow Porch from 1:30 to 4 p.m. On Sunday, Flyte World Dining and Wine will be featured during the first slot, followed by Wild Iris in the afternoon.
And those won’t be the only Nashville Originals members represented at the Festival! Be sure to look for other members like Martin’s BBQ (see below for more information), Fido, Holland House Bar & Refuge and Watermark Restaurant. In addition, talented chefs from member restaurants will be featured at the Chef Showcase, including Jason McConnell of McConnell Hospitality Group (55 South + Cork & Cow + Red Pony Restaurant), Carey Bringle of Peg Leg Porker and Larry Carlile from Americano.
The festival will also include more than 40 demos and tasting sessions and live entertainment. Come have a fantastic, food-filled weekend with us!
Tickets to the festival start at $150 per day and include access to the Grand Tasting, demos and more. To purchase tickets and to see more information on the Music City Food & Wine Festival, visit the website HERE.
Martin’s BBQ & Friends:
On Saturday and Sunday, join Martin’s Bar-B-Que pitmaster PAT MARTIN as he hosts an unbeatable barbecue feast with a collection of chef buddies in Bicentennial Park. Guests are invited to meet Pat and the chefs and talk about their approach to low & slow cooking, and enjoy tastes of delicious food rotating throughout the day.
Everything will be cooked over live fire – whole lamb, whole hog, whole goat, beef ribs, whole fish, coal-roasted root vegetables and much more. Items will be announced via social media and chalkboard.
Admission to Martin’s BBQ & Friends is included with any ticket purchase.
